A service contract can be transferred to a subsequent individual purchaser while the contract is still in force. The transfer must be initiated by the original contract holder.

If the title transfer of the vehicle passes through an entity in the business of selling vehicles the service contract is ineligible for transfer to subsequent purchaser.
