Made up of three major categories, the Consumer Products segment markets and administers service contracts (and extended warranties) on household appliances, consumer electronics, computers and peripherals, and major mechanical systems within homes. These products are sold principally by retailers, distributors, manufacturers, utility companies and financial institutions. Warrantech also markets these products directly to the ultimate consumer through telemarketing and direct-mail campaigns.
